Editorial Illustration of a bowl of Seafood Jollof Rice by Vivian Uwakwe, African Artist for Dua Lipa's Service95 Issue046-Jollof-Rice

It was an honour for me to be commissioned to create this editorial illustration of a plate of seafood jollof rice for Dua Lipa’s Service95 in December, 2022.

It’s a #Jollof Christmas this year!

The team at @service95 make passionate artists like me know that we made the right decision pursuing our passion.

Special thanks to @poppyroy_ Poppy Roy, Picture Editor at Service95. Excellent communicator! She’s the best!

Shout out to @funmifetto, the Global Editorial Director. Magic happens when you work with professionals with #BritishVogue experience. Their creativity and art direction is off the charts.

I’m still going to try Food, Fire and Soul’s Funmi Ogunbiyi’s recipe. I live in Port Harcourt Nigeria ans the Creek Road Market offers the best seafood options in Nigeria: clams, mussels, prawns, crabs, lobsters fish and more.

WARNING: This is not a GhanaJollof vs NigerianJollof war. Don’t bare your fangs. I don’t plan on betraying my loyalty to my Ghanaian nephews here. LOL!
